Ruminations of a Taco-Obsessed Philly Native

The famous breakfast joint, IHOP has made a change to their logo for the first time in over twenty years. They have updated its look so that it appears to be a happy face over the logo instead of a frowny face, which is what people report as seining in it. According to an article on Buzzfeed News, they have taken the rounded underscore part of the logo and flipped it upside down under the O and P in the name to provide a long and lovely smile.

Personally, I never really noticed that there was a “sad” face in the IHOP logo, but I can surely see what people are talking about once I take a closer look. The new look for the logo is actually really cute and I think that it will help them grow some business without doubt. The IHOP brand is known for making really delicious breakfast meals and even lunch and dinner ones, but GoodReads says they  guess they felt the need to step it up a notch and to make it a little more customer friendly and happy.

They are doing fairly well with the change and the CEO is especially glad that their logo really looks neat. I think that it will really bring in some new customers, if for nothing else because they saw it written about in the magazines and social media posts that have come out recently.
