Ryan Seacrest has been in the broadcasting industry for over two decades and has held a number of jobs in that field. Probably most popular for hosting the reality talent show American Idol, he also acts as the emcee of several other TV and radio shows, such as On Air with Ryan Seacrest, which airs on iHeart Media’s 102.7 KIIS-FM, and a nationally syndicated Top 40 music show. He is also the co-host of the daytime talk show Live with Kelly and Ryan, and he can be seen doing celebrity interviews on E! Live from the Red Carpet and hosting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rocking Eve at the end of each year.

In addition to all of his broadcasting duties, Ryan Seacrest also has his own production company aptly called Ryan Seacrest Productions, which produces popular reality shows like Keeping up with the Kardashians, Shahs of Sunset and E! Live from the Red Carpet. His entrepreneurial ventures include inventing a line of skincare with dermatologist Harold Lancer called Polished, and starting a menswear collection called Ryan Seacrest Distinction, which is only available at Macy’s. The well-known broadcaster also opened 10 media centers in pediatric hospitals across the nation as a way to support children who are suffering from serious illnesses.

The busy host started his career in broadcasting when he was 16 years old and won an internship with a local radio station in his home state of Georgia. This encouraged him to pursue a full-time position in the industry, so he decided to move to California to advance his talents and attain longevity in the business. According to, when he was brought on as one of the hosts of American Idol, along with comedian Brian Dunkleman, he became a household name because of the high-rated reality show. After Dunkleman left the show, Ryan Seacrest hosted it on his own, and was very adequate at doing the job alone. The show first aired on Fox but is now on ABC.
